Hello everyone,

I'am new in the field of charge pumps.

In the datasheet of LM2765 there is a minimal load current of 20/10mA listed:

I am confused now. Is this a mistake? Are the 10mA/20mA not the MAXIMUM values?

What is the minimal load-current for operating this charge pump?

Is it possible to run the Charge pump with 1mA load current?

Hi Nico,

I understand why that can be confusing. While it seems to imply 10mA or 20mA is minimum output current that must be drawn from the LM2765, it's really TI's guarantee that you can draw at least 20mA at VIN between 2.5 and 5.5V. For the VIN range of 1.8V to 2.5V, we guarantee the LM2765 can supply at least 10mA of load current. So if you only need 1mA of load current, you're OK. Hope that helps.
