Hola,

I have a question about TPS2513 application as below：

If I want to use the USB port for APPLE cellphone charging and it also can work normally for USB communication at the same time.

Can I use below block diagram for the above application？Can USB port communication function work normally？

Or does TI can recommend the suitable solution as the above application for us？Thank you.

    Hi Jacky,

    I  think TPS2546 and TPS2549 are good choices. configure them in CDP mode, and we can charge cellphones while communicating.

    TPS2549 is a newer device that we just released

    the main differences between TPS2546 and TPS2549 are:

    1. TPS2549 integrates short to Vbus protection for D+ and D–

    2. TPS2549 has a client-mode that allows software update to client devices

    3.TPS2549 integrates a cable compensation function which can be used to compensate the voltage droop due to large current.

    I have 2 questions need your help, thank you in advance:

    1. could you please let us know what products will these devices be used in ?

    2. Do you need cable compensation ? or other requirements ?
