The difference between TPS2592AA and TPS259240 ?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS2592AA, TPS2592AL, TPS2592BA, TPS2592BL, TPS2592ZA

Hi,

Because TPS2592AA is NRND, and my customer would replace it by TPS259240.

Please help to recognize the difference between TPS2592AA and TPS259240.

I know the Current Limit range is different. What eles Electrical Characteristics are different?

Thanks

  • Hi Daniel,
I am moving this to the Load Switch Forum.
  • Dear Eric,

Thanks. But, I can't find Load Switch Forum.
I can only find Load Switches and Power Path Protection Forum, is this the same with Load Switch Forum?
Could you indicate the link location for me?
I need to reply the comparison to my customer. It's urgent.
    Thanks for your help.
  • Hi Daniel,

I'm sorry I wasn't too clear. I did actually move your question to the Load Switches and Power Path Protection Forum and the experts from this group will take over from here. Sorry for the confusion. If I don't see a reply too soon, then I will ping that team to help you out.

    Eric

  • Dear Eric,

    Thanks for your help.
This question is a little urgent, because my customer is preparing for gerber out.
If there are no experts reply, please kindly support it, thank you very much.
  • Hi Daniel,

For new designs, recommended pin to pin, dop-in replacement for TPS2592AA is TPS259241.

There are no major changes to the Electrical Characteristic Table. New TPS2592xx can support adjustable load current in the range from 1A to 5A.

Here are the p2p, drop-in replacements.

    12V: TPS2592AA  TPS259241
    12V: TPS2592AL  TPS259240
    5V: TPS2592BA  TPS259231
    5V: TPS2592BL  TPS259230
    20V: TPS2592ZA  TPS259271
    20V: TPS2592ZL  TPS259270

    Venkata
