bq27532-G1 with bq24090

Hello David,

You should be able to pair the bq27532 with the bq24090. Please note that the bq27532-G1 is designed to act as a host to the bq24250 charger. In theory, you can use the bq27532 with another charger, but you will lose the functionality of having the gauge control the charger.

If you are trying to design a removable pack with one of our system-side gauges, I recommend you look at the bq27520-G4 which is another IT gauge that can be paired with any other charger without wasting functionality.

Also, for the bq27532, I recommend you review the bq24250 specs as it may fit your application and you could save some development time working with the bq27532+bq24250 combo.

i using the bq24090 ( i cant change this design i must stay with the bq24090 ) im looking for a way to know the SOC(state of charge) over I2C.( the I2C connects to my micro-controller) 

can you recommend me a fuel gauge that compatible to work with bq24090 .

Hello David,

For a system-side gauging application, review the bq27520-G4 or the bq27426 which are Impedance Track gauges. Both of these gauges offer SOC reporting over I2C and should work with the bq24090 charger.

i sow that the bq27520-G4 have a  battery Min capacity of 300mAh,

my battery is a li-ion 3.7v 165mAh, do you recommend a different fuel gauge ic for this battery?

(i need it to be with a smallest package )

Please review the bq27426; it allows a minimum capacity of 100mAh and it comes in 9DSBGA package.
