TLV62130 / High frequency noise

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV62130, TLV62150

Hi,

I measured output ripple voltage as below and then the high frequency noise on ripple noise. I think this is not specific for TLV62130 because I remember to see this kind of waveform at other device. But now I'd like to know the cause of this kind of noise.

Your comment will be appreciated.

  • This looks like 25 MHz noise? I've not seen this before and don't know where it could come from.

    Could you share where you measured the noise on the EVM? Can you retry with a resistor load? As well, try turning off your mobile phone when you measure the noise.
  • Hi, Chris,

    The waveform in my previous post was measured at customer board. Today I tried to measure by using TLV62150 (I think it's similar with 62130) and then I could not see such high frequency noise at both resistor and electrical load. So I'll ask them the possibility of noise from load device or components around IC.

    This wave form was measured with;

    Vin = 5V

    Vout = 3.3V

    Iout = 660mA (Rload=5ohm)

    Best Regards,

  • Thanks for checking the EVM. The noise on the bottom trace is your picture is likely picked up by the longer ground lead on the scope probe.
