I am having some problems with the TLC5923 which is difficult to debug. I have 16 cascaded chips, driven by a labview DAQ (USB-8451) which uses SPI (serial peripheral interface) to drive SCLK, SIN and SOUT. The other inputs are driven with digital IO.
The LEDs form irregular patterns, and sometimes they don't turn on at all. I know that the serial signal is being sent through the entire cascade of chips, however, the patterns on the board are not what I expect.
I have used a serial debug tool to verify that the serial signals meet the requirements of the TLC5923 serial interface.
Perplexed as to the issue, and am wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem.
