PMP5967 Using UCC25600D

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PMP3199, TPS5124

Dear Sir,

wanted to increase the current rating to 48 to 50 amps, require your help and support for the necessary changes. can only addinding an additional mosfet will do along with the transformer. this will be used for server application.

also require necessary winding information for the transformer.

thank you

  • Neelesh,

    PMP5967 is actually 38 A output @ 12 V, 460 W, not 48 A.

So to increase to 50 A is quite a big increase, it will probably require a larger transformer, lower Rdson FETs on primary and secondary (or more in parallel), tuning of the current limit, and probably also tuning of the resonant frequency.

I have passed this query along to one of my colleagues who is more familiar with LLC, he will be in touch with you over the next few days.

    Thanks,
    Bernard
  • Dear Bernad,
thanks for the info, designing a server PSU of 640 watt which also includes TPS5124 on PMP3199.1 for the 3.3 and 5V outputs
