TPS2051C Thermal protection compared to "Auto-Retry" on TPS2553

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS2553, TPS2051C

Hello there,

I wanted to get some clarification on the TPS2051C and it's ability to cycle on and off during a heavy-overload or short-circuit event, it sounds very much like the "auto-retry" non-latching functionality highlighted in the TPS2553 (for example).

The TPS2051C is a better fit for the application I am looking at, but like the auto-retry functionality, so I'd like to see if it would perform similarly.

Thank you.

best regards,

Saqib Mohammad
