Hi,

I need to sync clock between TPS65265 and TPS43061. What is the most suitable external clock to be used for sync freq at 500kHz?

hi ,

I am taking over TPS65265 technical support.

Tie "external clock signal 500kHZ" to ROSC pin directly. (for the clock, high level should be no lower than 2V).

More descriptions, refer to TPS65265 datasheet page 7 and 24.

what is the requirement in selecting the external clock?

Zul fikri ,
1. use LMC555 to gernerate clock.

2. TPS65265 datasheet also tell you the external clock spec in page 24 and page 7.
For example, frequency 600khz, duty cycle 50%, high level 2.5V(or higher than 2V and less than 3.3V), low level 0 V(or less than 0.4V). This clock is ok for TPS65265.

Hi Jason,

I have go through the datasheet but there is no mention

1) what is the source and sink current of TPS65265 ROSC pin?

2) In your opinion, it Is sufficient enough to sync 3 converter which is TPS65265, TPS55330 and TPS43060 from external clock with ±10mA Output Drive Current as picture?

Fikri,

For TPS65265, internal circiut is a SCHMITT COMPARATOR which only need sink/sourch current at microamp level.

Other two devices, the sink/source current is also at same level.

So, +/- 10mA can drive these three devices.
