Sink current for EN pin of LMZ12008

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMZ12008, LMZ12002, LMZ12003

Hello,

Am using LMZ12008 IC With En pin will be driven by MAX16009 voltage monitor open drain ic.

What is the Sink current for EN pin to driven low.Can this MAX16009 IC able to sink ?

Regards,

Prasanna G

  • There is a 2M Ohm pull-up resistor from VIN to EN and a 13uA current source that turns on when the part is enabled.

Please refer to the data sheet for more information.

  • Hello,

I have attached my design, Where we connected MAX16009's output having sink current( 2mA)to LMZ12002 enable pin.

As i read from datasheet  LMZ12002 it says it has internal pull-up resistor ,So when Vin comes  LMZ12002 will be on if enable pin is not grounded(sinked).

My design needs to hold the EN pins of  LMZ12002 to grounded by   MAX16009 .

So my question is how much sink current needed to drive the enable pin of  LMZ12002  "LOW".

Waiting for your feedback since my design is in crucial stage.

    Regards,

    Prasanna G

  • The EN sink current for the LMZ12002 is about 7uA

The EN sink current for the LMZ12003 is about 7uA

The EN sink current for the LMZ12008 is about 20uA
