I am in search for a boost converter that will do following:

Vin = 5V ~ 5.3V

Vout = 6V

Iout = 2A  min , the load will pull 1.8A

built in switch

load disconnect when disabled

low quiescent current

    Hi Chris,

    You can use TPS61089 plus an external MOSFET to realize this function. I wrote an reference design PMP9779, but this design has not been released yet. But I can send the schematic to you if you want  it.

    Also , you can use TPS61178, this device has load disconnect function , we already have the samples on hand now. But this device will be RTMed (officially released) early next year, can  this meet you schedule?
