TPS25910 power dissipation question

Hi there!

We plan to use TPS25910 as load switch for this conditon: Vin = 19V, normal current = 3A, max current =6A. Voltage and current seems to be under the limits of this IC.

Just to confirm,  this IC could work as long as the power dissipation is smaller than 5W as datasheet specified.   I think power dissipation means the power dissipated on MOSFET rather than the Vin*Iout. So in our application, Pd=(6A)*(6A)*0.03ohm = 1.08W. so this IC could handle this.

Is my understanding correct?

Thanks!
