My customer have a question about VBST current of TPS54427.

What is the maximum current is flowing to the VBST pin?

    Hi, Watanabe,

    for the VBST current, we can devide it into two scenarios,

    1) when there's no voltage across BST cap, this is where the maximum current happens,

    the maximum current happens when there's no voltaga around the BST cap, the current is charging through a switch, whose Rds is around 50ohm,

    for Vreg = 5V, i = 100mA;

    2) when IC is in steady state, the current is much smaller

    so the maximum current is around 100mA.
