Regarding Common Anode RGB LEDs driving Chip

How can I use the LP55231 or LP5523 with common Anode RGB LEDs- SMLP34RGB2W3 ? I am using this chip successfully with a common-cathode RGB LEDs but common-anode leds are more available and come in smaller sizes.

Or Do I need to search different Programmable RGB LED Sink current driver chip??

Hi Dinesh,

There is no easy way to use LP5521 or LP5523 to drive common anode RGB LEDs. I don't know how many LEDs you are driving, but you can take a look at LP5562 which can drive one common anode RBG LED with similar functionality.

I've seen LP5562 which can drive one common anode RGB LED ,but we are planning to drive total 3 or 4 common anode RGB LEDs.

Hi Dinesh,

I believe we have something in the pipe line that will meet your needs in the future, but for now, it might still be easier to user 3 or 4 LP5562 for your project.

How about TLC5971 for common anode RGB LEDs as we are planning for 4 RGB LEDs.
