TPS25942A - about “dvdt over value” of PGOOD function

Guru 21045 points

Hi Team,

We would like to know about “dvdt over value” of PGOOD function.

We understand that “dvdt over” is “V(dVdTmax)”.

If yes, I understand as follows.

-PGOOD is High if PGTH pin voltage is higher than internal reference V(PGTHR) and “dvdt over” is “V(dVdTmax)”.

-PGOOD is Low if PGTH pin voltage is lower than internal reference V(PGTHR) and “dvdt over” is “V(dVdTmax)”.

-PGOOD is Low if PGTH pin voltage is higher than internal reference V(PGTHR) and “dvdt over” is lower than “V(dVdTmax)”.

-PGOOD is Low if PGTH pin voltage is lower than internal reference V(PGTHR) and “dvdt over” is lower than “V(dVdTmax)”.

Is my understanding correct?

Kanemaru

  • Hi Kanemaru-san,

"dVdT over" signal is derived from dVdT pin voltage.
“dVdT over” means the voltage at dVdT pin has crossed (Vin+3)/12, where Vin is the input voltage, 12 is the gain of dVdT and 3 is the minimum over drive voltage required to keep FET in ON state.
In your description, “dVdT over” has to be replaced by (Vin+3)/12.

    Thanks,
    Rakesh
  • Hi Rakesh-san,

I’m sorry for the delay in my reply.

I understand. Thank you very much.
