Hi Team

may i have your help to check the peak current of LM53603-Q1, as D/S described, the min is 4.5A, but as our measurement on EVM, the peak current is 3.8A only, which number is correct?

Hello,

Is the current measured through the inductor or at the output of the converter?

Hi Florent,

through inductor, it is inductor current not output current
the major point of this question is LM536035-Q1 could not start up at 5V/3A condition, IC will trigger OCP
input is 12V
you could try it on EVM

We have tried startup on a on a standard LM536035 EVM from 5.5V to 18V input with a resistive load on the output to generate 3A at 5V and we find a correct soft-start pattern in all cases. What type of load do you use? Are you using a standard EVM?

Hi Florent,

This is from Wei-Hao, me and Red are from the same team.

The test condition is VIN = +12V & VOUT = +5V / 3A. The load is using an electronic load under CC mode.

The EVM entered OCP mode when start-up with +5V/3A load. Could you please verify your load under CC mode instead of CR mode.
