BQ27010 programming issue.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ27010, BQ27320, BQ27220

Hi Team,

BQ27010 is under design stage for an application on hand held terminal. The customer is facing an issue while programming the BQ27010 gauge device.

The procedure for programming is followed as mentioned in Figure 6 in the datasheet. However, after performing the steps, the GUI throws an error message "Communication Fail" and communication with the gauge is not possible thereafter. I wanted to understand the possible reasons for this issue.

Also, 21 V to PROG pin is provided externally through lab power supply where it is possibly powered for greater than 100 ms. Will this create any issue since datasheet recommends a max value of 100 ms?

Kindly request your inputs at the earliest to resolve the issue. Thanks in advance!

Best Regards,
