UCD90160- Voltages not coming up

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD90160

Hi,

We are using UCD90160 power monitoring and sequencer device to monitor and enable 3V3, 2V5, 1V8, 1V2, 1V1 and 1V0 voltages. The device supply voltage is 3V3_PUB as you can see in the attached xml file. As of now, we have enabled all the voltages without dependencies.

1. It is observed that the voltages are coming up randomly. When on board 3V3 comes up, 2V5 doesn't come up and so on. The behaviour is totally random.

2. The device supply voltage 3V3_PUB and 12V generated by another power supply which do not include any sequencing under UCD90160 are also monitored on the UCD device.Partial Board_Config All enabled together_glitch_free.xml

I have attached the schematics we have used and the xml file used for programming.

  • Hi Rasif,

    1. I reviewed your configuration, as you said, you enable all rail voltage without any dependencies, so the rail voltage is power up without sequence.

    2. According to your configuration, the enable signal of rail voltage is function normally, except rail #4 3V3_MON, you set the pin polarity as "active low", make sure it is right setting.

    3. Based on your SCH, 3V3_EN is not using, will it affect the power up of 2V5?
