My customer is currently in using TL4242,now.

I have gotten a question about this product .

So, please teach me about TL4242.

＜Question＞

Is there a method to keep the 10usec(max) in this product about "tPWM, ON" "tPWM, OFF"?

If the answer is "No", do you know a device that can satisfy this in the same circuit configuration and price range?

Could you help us?

    Hi Pokkun,

    The typical tPWM, ON and tPWM, OFF times are 15us. The time will also vary based on temperature. Therefore, there is not a method.


    If the turn on time is a key concern, you can look into a load switch. TPS22910A has a fast turn on/turn off time.

    So, the reasonable LED Driver for driving ON/OFF time less than 10usec is not exist.

    Is this correct that my recognition?

    Sekiguchi-san,

    The TL4242 does not support on/off time less than 10us. I only support a limited number of products, so I can't comment on all of the LED drivers at TI.

    I would suggest creating a forum post titled "LED Driver for On/Off time less than 10usec" to see if any of the other product lines know of a solution for this.
