Hello,

my customer is planning to use the TL2843B-Q1 for driving a brushed DC motor. One of the requirement is having 100% duty cycle. The datasheet mentions a MIN Duty cycle of 94%. What is the limitation for that? Switching frequency, temperature...? The switching frequency is targeted to approx. 20kHz.

Hello Felix,

There is just some variation in what the device can acheive as far as maximum duty cycle. It may have to due with variation in the internal oscillator itself. It is likely that it wanted to be ensured that it did not go above 100% to keep timing correct and in the case of the 2844 and 2845 to ensure that the oscillator did not exceed 50%.
