bq24401 / Peak pulse current at Top-Off and Pulse-Trickle Maintenance Charge

Hi,

I understand that the pulse current is delivered to the battery during both Top-Off and Pulse-Trickle Maintenance Charge. But I can't find the description of which peak current will be delivered at this pulse current. Is it the same current level with constant current charging?

Please refer to table 4 in the datasheet. Top off current should be IMAX/16.

Hi Jing,

I also find this but I guess this is average current, not mean peak current by referring following description in page 8.

The fixed pulse width allows an average current of 1/16 of the fast charge current to be delivered to the battery every second.

And I also want to know the peak current at Trickle-charge.They can be clarified by measuring actual waveform of EVM but I don't have EVM on my bench...

Can you please let us know what is the concern?

The amplitude should be the same as IMAX.

Unfortunately, we do not have a EVM available to verify either.

Hi Jing,

I just would like to know if there is higher current I expected, because there is no information or waveform about it. I also believe it should be the same with IMAX.
