Hello,

I was going through the datasheet of TPS28XX - EP. There was one Contradictory statement.

Statement in page 2 mentions -

"The TPS2816 and TPS2817 input circuits include an active pullup circuit to eliminate the need for an external resistor when using open-collector PWM controllers. The TPS2818 and TPS2819 are identical to the TPS2816 and TPS2817, except that the active pullup circuit is omitted." . This means TPS2818 & TPS2819 can be used with regular CMOS PWM drive ICs

But Statement in page 16 is as follows

"The TPS2816 and TPS2818 drivers include active pullup circuits on the inputs to eliminate the need for external pullup resistors when using controllers with open-collector outputs (such as the TL5001). The TPS2817 and TPS2819 drivers have standard CMOS inputs providing a total device operating current of less than 50 mA"

This statement means that TPS2818 can be interfaced with Open Collector inputs which contradicts first statement. Please clarify upon this.

Also is TPS2828-EP and TPS2829-EP discontinued? We are not able to find them in Online market?

    Thank you for your interest in our TPS28xx drivers. There is, indeed, a contradiction. The first statement is correct. The TPS2816 and TPS2817 have an active pullup; all the other devices in the family do not. 

    Regarding your second question: only TPS2818-EP and TPS2819-EP are released devices. TPS2828-EP and TPS2829-EP are not currently available.
