Hi Sir,

I have question about PMP7499 TI Design and schematic note "If a current sharing PSE is not used, current sharing will be dependent on cable, connector and POE transformer impedances and diode drops"
if we use PMP7499 reference design, how can we improve  this question? please advise me, thanks.

    Hi Wenyung,

    What will be connected to the PMP7499 board? The current balancing problem only exists when you connect the PD board to a UPoE PSE port(two PSE channels are connected to one RJ45 connector and power is delivered through 4 pair). If there's no current balancing control on the PSE side, you will need to try to make sure the impedance of each two pair path is close to each other.
