LMR23610-Q1: LMR23610-Q1 SWITCHING FREQUENCY

Part Number: LMR23610-Q1

Hi,

Iam using multiple buck converters in my design for generating different voltages.

Can all these buck converters be operated at the same or different frequencies?

I read that when multiple buck converters are switching at the same time, there will be increased ripple at the input and output.

Also do I have to isolate all these buck converter inputs with ferrite beads?

Regards,

Bhavya

  • There is no real restriction on running multiple switchers at the same frequency or not.

If they are not synchronized, the ripple they produce will either add or subtract as the phases

of the oscillators drift around.  A ferrite bead may help reduce the switching noise from getting

back to the input supply and the other switchers, but is not mandatory.
