UCC28063A: Design 1.5KW PFC using UCC28063A

Dear Sir 

I am trying to design an 1.5KW PFC using UCC28063A power rating please below

input range : 85~264Vac

output voltage : 390V / 3.85A

And I have refer PMP10948 before,but I want to design 1.5KW in one power stage.

PCBA is complete and on testing, but when Vac 115V and output power over 900W,

Vout will drop from 390V to 342V.

Could you give me some opinion to solve this issue.

some parameter for you reference.

Rtset = 121K

Rs = 0.001

L1=L2=160uH

    Hi Allen,
    The UCC28063A is an interleaved transition mode pfc controller and this makes it unsuitable for a 1.5kW pfc stage.
    If you use the calculator tool for the device you will see that at 1.5kW the peak currents are enormous. This makes the peak current requirements for the boost inductors extremely high which makes the parts very big. Also the conduction losses in the semiconductors become prohibitive. We recommend a CCM type controller such as the UCC28070 or the UCC28180 for power levels above 600W to 700W
    PMP10948 is a reference design with two 550W and 750W pfc stages.

    Thanks for your suggest, I am found some trouble on my PCB ,

    Now it can provide 1200W at low line voltage.
