BQ27531EVM: BQ STUDIO Temperature calibration

Part Number: BQ27531EVM

Hi, I am trying to calibrate the temperature but the process in the software dont change de value I read.

Furthermore, I dont understand what does the parameters "Ext a Coef 1, Ext a Coef 2....."Ext type Coef 1, Ext type Coef 2, ..." means and how do I can manually set them. (Data Memory - Calibration)

Thanks for your time.

Regards

Nicolás Petrungaro

    • Are you calibrate the external temperature by ntc or the internal temperature?
    • Please make sure that the device is unsealed.
    • You can upload your resister connection of TS pin and I will help to calculate the coeff for you.

  • I am doing the following process.

I connect the device, I send the unsealed command and the unseal full access comand.

Then I read all (some times when I read, the values apear in red, i don't know what this means).

After reading all, i go to the Calibration window and make the calibration process as it says on page 19 of the bq27531EVM manual. The fact is that the value I read doesnt change at all, neither for the internal or external temperature.

I am really lost with this thing, if you can give me some help i would appreciate.

    Thanks for your time,

    Nicolás.

  • Hi, is there any answer for the issues above?

Related to the temperature coefficient, the NTC thermistor I've got in my battery is descript in the Data Sheet I attached. Would you calculate de coefficients for me with that information?

Thanks a lot for your time,
