LM3150-750EVAL: Some part values do not match those on the EVM BOM

Part Number: LM3150-750EVAL
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM3150

Hi,

I have a LM3150-750EVAL board and was checking the values of the components to make sure they match the BOM as stated on the LM3150 EVM documentation.
The Rlim and Ron resistors are different from the EVM BOM, with values at 150 and 36.5k respectively.

Now my concern is mainly with the current limit set by Rlim, as this value is different on the EVM board compared to the EVM BOM.

First I tried to calculate the Icl using the Rlim value on the EVM board, with the equation in the datasheet:

Rlim = (Icl x Rds(on)max) / Ilim-th

Icl = (150 * 85e-6) / 3.4e-3 = 3.75 A

Using the above I get a calculated current limit of 3.75 A, but the EVM documentation states a 0-10 A output current range for my board, thus the confusion.

If I use LIM-TH(TJ ) = ILIM-TH x [1 + 3.3 x 10-3 x (TJ - 27)] in place of 85e-6 for Ilim-th, using 100 degrees for Tj, I get Icl = 4.65 A, which is still far less than the value stated on the EVM BOM.

Can someone help me with the issue I have? Thanks.
