I am using EVAL board for my load which is 1AMP. However its shorting out. I tested and seems like it can support max 550mA. Why datasheet says it can support upto 1500mA

Hi,
My power supply can support upto 7A. I am providing VIN 5.2V. My output voltage is 12V. My output known load is 1 AMP. However, I see on my power supply, eval board draws 1.5Amp +...I have current limit set on power supply to be 1.5A, so I don't accidentally damage my EVAL board. If I increase my current limit on power supply, it might work. But EVAL board drawing lots of current. That is bad efficiency. Can you please confirm 1.5A of load current works on Eval board? I recently got this new EVAL board of LM3478.
