LMZ12003: Maximum output capacitance of LMZ12003

Hello there,

I have a customer who is stacking multiple ceramic caps on the output of his LMZ12003 module (he's up to (4) 47uF ceramic caps) and would like to know if there is a maximum capacitance cutoff that will mess with the internal control loop of the LMZ12003?

Appreciate any feedback you can provide.

Hello Amanda,

Apologies for the late response.
I think this capacitance should be OK. There is no max capacitance cutoff on this part, in terms of startup limitations.
Also, the part derives the necessary ripple internally, so it should not need ESR from the output capacitor.
