I got a question from my customer.
They want to estimate the relation about the dissipation vs ambient temperature.
Are there the documents of the thermal losses?

    Hi Yokota-san,

    I did not quite get you question. The dissipation is related to Vin, Vout, Iout, Fsw, Rdson, SW slew rate. Fsw and Rdson and SW slew rate will vary with Ta. But the total dissipation should not change too much with temp. It is reasonable to calculate the power dissipation or use efficiency curve to get the power dissipation on IC under full temp. With theta-ja, the temp rise could get and the junction temp could known under specific Ta.

    Tj=Ta+(theta-ja*Pd)

    There is an app note discussing all the IC package thermal stuffs.
