TPS54120: maximum output voltage

TPS54120 maximum switcher output voltage shows in the datasheet as 6V. Is there ant possibility to run it at 8V. total curent draw is about 450mA. Input is 12V. Appreciate your help otherwise we need to go for a respin.

Hi,
TPS54202 may be a good choice. It's 28V/2A synchronous buck regulator, SOT-23 package, internal compensation, very easy to use.

Foot-print can't be changed. If there is no other foot-print compatible to 54120, what is the absolute max voltage we can get from 54120.

If you are using the LDO, the absolute maximum input voltage is 7 V. I would not operate the part at or near the abs max voltage, so I think the 6 V output limit is reasonable.
