Dear All:

we use the bq24045 to achieve charging.

we use the usb as the input resource, and the Pin Vout is directly attached to the system load with the battery is removed , we find the wave of the pin Vout as below：

why does the voltage 1.84V stay a period of time ? can you help to explain it thanks

Hello,

what's your load? The OUT pin need connect a battery normally.

Dear Kerry:
thanks your reply. The load is system that consume about 150ma current. the production has requirement that is works without battery. The waveform above is measured on the condition of without battery . Please help to confirm if there is any problem.

Hello,

Charger is for charge the battery, so it has internal charge logic for battery. for detail, charger detect different VBAT to decide output different current.

So you cannot pull out constant current value directly without battery.

Dear Kerry:

i have a test condition that the battery is removed and the system can work properly. So when i remove the battery， I think the Vout output is normal ,but your see the above waveform is not normal. I want to know what cause the results?

Hello,

You can get the regulation voltage at OUT pin, 4.35V is a correct one. But do not recommend use charger like this, if the resistance value of load is smaller, like 10 ohm, you should not say the 4.35V voltage.
