bq24010: BQ24010DRCR Charging IC Overheating and shutting down

Part Number: BQ24010

Hi,

I am using BQ24010DRCR charging IC in my application. I have connected 3.7V Li-ion battery to VCC_VBAT. I am giving 12.8V as input. Below i have included circuit design. My external circuit connected to VCC_VBAT consumes maximum 100mA. I am getting over heating problem in this charging ic. Temperature is rising as much as 85 degree celcius. Another finding is that this IC is shuting down, and switching on again and again within a fraction of second(seems like thermal shutdown). This i have verified by connecting ammeter to the battery charging circuit. i find that battery starts charging and discharging every second. I mean oscillation is there in the current flow which i can easily see in ammeter.

I have also checked by increasing the current sense resistor R56. I have changed R56 to 4.7K. Current drawn from my source is around 200mA. My battery discharge current(external load connected to VCC_VBAT)  is around 82mA. Can anyone please help me out in troubleshooting this problem?

Regards
