BQ40Z50-R1: RSOC has sharp knee from 100%, not decreased gradually

Part Number: BQ40Z50-R1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: GPCRB

HI, TI team

I used the bq40z50r1 in the project.  The pack is discharged under about 7degC. However the RSOC have sharp knee from 10%, not decreased gradually. How could i to optimize the parameters in data flash?

1) I have update the ra table by GPC calculation. However, i have not do a successful learning cycle in the typical pack.

Is it a problem to this issue?

2) The attached is the GPC report. Please help to check whether i need to optimize the parameters?

3) During the low temperature optimization, the discharge rate is 0.5C. However, i need to do the 0.8C discharging test.

        So is it acceptable?

    • If you haven't done a learning cycle, that could be a problem to cause some issues
    • To optimize low temp parameters, discharge the battery at system typical high rate until the minimal voltage, so you can choose higher currents for GPCRB
