PMP8861: PMP8861 Temp issue

Part Number: PMP8861

Hi Sir:

How about when PMP8861 vin=75V the EVM temp .

The user guides show vin=48V

why R101、R100、R26 temp too high.

  • Hello Joey

These components are part of the secondary snubber network and dissipate unwanted energy that would otherwise generate high voltage spikes at each switching transition. The dissipated energy will be highest when the input voltage is highest and the increase their temperature will be greatest at high input voltage.

Have you measured the temperature ?

In general our reference designs are a starting point for a designer to use and some changes may be needed to turn them into fully developed production ready designs.

I'd suggest that you measure the temperature and re-post it, I can then let you know if it's 'reasonable' or not.

    Regards

    Colin
