TPS3702-Q1: tps3702-Q1 orderable part number

Part Number: TPS3702-Q1

Hi team,

What’s the orderable part number of tps3702-Q1 if it’s used to monitor 3.3V power rail with ±5% accuracy?

From blow table, it seems tps3702AX33 is the right choice.

However, tps3702cx33 is recommended in a typical application.

I am trying to confirm whether tps3702-Q1 supports 3.3V/1.2V  monitor with +-5% accuracy.

Thanks.

Best regards,

Dongbao

  • Hi

Currently the released options for the 1.2V and 3.3V are with the +/-4% when the SET pin is held high.

Can you use the +/-4% ?

Else you can look at the adjustable part TPS3700

    Thanks

  • Hi Chintan,

In section 8.2 and 8.2.1, +-%4 device is used to meet the +-5% design requirement, and the design result is very close to +-5%.

Could you explain why there is a gap?  or what's the error source?

    Thanks.

    Dongbao

  • Dongbao,

The error source in accuracy comes from the threshold tolerance for V_IT(OV) and V_IT(UV). The tolerance comes from the accuracy of the internal current source and the reference of the internal comparator. This is referred to at device accuracy. In the application you mentioned, a 4% device is used but the devices can have up to 0.9% additional accuracy error across temp.

Please let us know if you have any more questions. Thanks!
