TL750L: TL750L10CLPR Output current too high

Part Number: TL750L

Hello,

we were given special sensor Units by our costumer.

These do not require our usual voltage Rating but 10VDC instead, which is why we wanted to use the TL750L10CLPR as an easy solution.

Unfortunately we always seem to get 19-20V out of the semiconductor. We alredy tried to get in contact with our merchant and received the third order with no luck. (~20pcs by now)

Picture of our small testing build: (round side of the semiconductor is facing the table)

When I use that build on other semiconductors (5V, 12V) I get proper results.

Am I doing something wrong here or is there a Problem with the semiconductors?

Sincerely,

Achim

  • Hi Achim,

Thank you for the details and the photo. While there is risk of ESD damage with any integrated circuit, from what you sent you have tested several devices with the same results. As this is a three lead device that does not require any external components you may consider working with your distribution partner to return the devices to TI so that we can analyze them: www.ti.com/.../customer_returns.page

    Very Respectfully,
    Ryan
