TPS43061EVM-198: TPS43061EVM-198 5Volts to 12Volts -right?

About TPS43061EVM-198:
I made a search for up-stepper / booster Vin 5 Vout 12 and got that suggestion from the ti-website.
In the discription it say's: "The EVM operates from a 6V to 12.6V input (9V nominal) and provides a 15V output at 2A."
I could succes a search up to 13,4 Aout.
Something is wrong here...
The search-results tells one thing, discription an other.
If i connect 5Volts to a TPS43061EVM-198 (and enough Amperes) -would it give me 12V and 13,4A out?
...or have i made some kind of missunderstanding?

Thanks for asking the question. Can you please clarify where the 13.4A value is coming from? The inductor peak current limit should keep the output current from reaching 13.4A during an over-current event.

Hi!

First, i open my own WEBENCH-design:

webench.ti.com/.../webench5.cgi

Then i click "build it"

In the popup i click "Order EVM"

...and come to https://store.ti.com/Search.aspx?k=TPS43061&pt=-1

I click at TPS43061EVM-198 's link and come to it's page.

That's the way i got the 13.4 A value!

On that page it say's "The EVM operates from a 6V to 12.6V input (9V nominal) and provides a 15V output at 2A."

Therefore i think it's wrong and ask about it.

If it is wrong -why does the website suggest The TPS43061EVM-198 ?

Also: if it is wrong: -what do you suggest ?

I need in 5V out 12V 10A. (maybe 15)

Hello,

I believe that the link is just saying that you can order the EVM not that it will fit your application. If you want to order all the parts then you need to click order kit. I hope that clears everything up.
