BQ2004E: BQ2004E charge action state is not stable

Try removing the 1uF capacitor and see if the battery indication is corrected when the battery is removed.

Hi Raheem,

After remove the 1 uF (C30) unit have the same behavior.
Battery is disconnected but LED2 indicating that charge in progress.
Please advise ...

Try to disable trickle and top off by floating DSEL and let me know if this issue persists.

When trickle disabled → NO charge indication (LED2)

Can you tell me what is possible root cause?

after enable trickle i have Mode 3 Charge action state see attached

Dsel=Vcc=11.2V

LED2 flashing that mean that charge pending or discharge-before-charge.

My unit have a display with Battery indication bar

with time the bar is shown that battery is charging.

I kept unit in this condition during the night

now the display battery indication reflect that battery is fully charged

but LED2 still flashing

is there are any explanation, any idea...?

Please note that the maximum voltage for Vcc is 7V.
