Hi,

I cannot install GUI. (both win7 and win10)
My procedures are as follows;
1) Install Visual basic 6 runtime ->OK
2) I extracted all files from sluc258a.zip and excute out setup.exe.
3) Error message (1)
    Install setup.exe - Bad image
    VB6STKIT.DLL can't execute or included error
4) Error message (2)
    Cannot start main setup program! (CreateProcess() returned error code 0x000000C1H)
5) Error message (3)
    Setup will now start application removel utility to remove temporary install files.
5) Error message (4)
    Error attempting to run the application removal program to remove etmporary installation fiiles.

Please teach me what is problem.

I do not yet connected EV2300 or EV2400, I have both.
Is the installation of the driver necessary before installing GUI?

Please connect EV2400 before installing the driver. The driver should be installed before running GUI.

Install "EV2400_Support_Components_20110524.exe"
Connect EV2300
Extract sluc258a.zip (bq24735 GUI)
Execute setup.exe in sluc258a.zip
The following error is occur;

push "OK"

What will be wrong?

EV2300 and EV2400 have different hardware with different driver. If you use EV2400, please install EV2400 driver.

Install "EV2300a_Device_Driver_Installer_Multilanguage_0.6.exe", but the same message appears.
I tried this in Windows7 32bit pro, but was OK.

Windows7 64bit
Driver install is OK.
GUI setup
"setup.exe - bad image" "c:\windows\system32\VB6STKIT.DLL is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error" 4 times
and An error same as Win10 is occur.

The "VB6STKIT.DLL" message disappeared when I installed expansion VB6 runtime kit.
It became the state same as Win10.
What is "communication issue"?

EV2300 is an old device and a little bit hard to get support. Specially for a new computer system.
EV2400 is a new communication box with full support.
I will contact the development team to take a look. Please help me double confirm your setup
What operation system is on your computer system: win10, win7 or others? 32bit system or 64bit system.
Do you use EV2300 or EV2400?
Are you install EV2300 driver or EV2400 driver?
What GUI reversion do you install?

I have;
EV2300, EV2400, Win10(64bit),Win7(64bit), Win7(32bit).
I tried;
EV2300+Win10(64bit),EV2300+Win7(64bit), EV2300+Win7(32bit).
So I install EV2300 64bit and 32bit driver for each Windows.
GUI version is sluc258a.

I will try by EV2400.

-> The result was the same in EV2400.
From this result, I think that bq24735 GUI does not work in 64bit.

Good summary. GUI development team generated a ticket for this issue. We will see their investigation result. When I have it, I will let you know.

Conlusion:

bq24735 GUI (www.ti.com/.../sluc258) doesn’t have problem with other Win7 64bit PC.

if PC=ML115(HP) or other similar PC, try Win7 32bit driver.

Thank you for support.
I attached other HDDs to this PC and performed clean install, this was no problem.
As this result, I think that this problem is some software conflict.
