BQ51013B: Wireless charger receiver Bq51013B and regulator of cherge for LI-ion battery 3.7 V 600 mAh

Part Number: BQ51013B

Hi everybody !

I designed a receiving circuit of   wireless charging  for a li-ion battery 3.7 V 600 mAh. i just need help to verify that my components's values are right and functionnal for my application and that worked well with the coil that i already choose it. And i have some issue:

for the TS/Ctrl, is it right to set the TS with a resistance of 10 K .
i follow the datasheet note, is the value of RFod exact ( 196 ohm) ,R1 ( Reistance limite 66ohm ) , RRos (20)

For the Q24040, i let the NC and EP pins Flotting !!

is this coil concur with this resonnace configuration !!

Thank for your help in advance!

Best regards!

  • Double check the ILIM/FOD connection -- should be ILIM Pin resistor FOD Pin gnd and RECT Pin Resistor FOD Pin. Set the R value form ILIM to Gnd to determine I out. The value of FOD resistor to gnd and RECT resistor are determined during FOD cal.
Coil looks OK but this will have to be tuned also.
Make sure the Cap to RECT pins do not lose too mutch due to DC bias, often seen with newer small capacitor.

    10k on TS is OK.
  • Hi Bill !!
    Thank you for answer !!

1- I revise the ILIM and FOD conection as you said. I missed a node between FOD AND RECT AND ILIM. So it look like that:

2- In datasheet, for this application they recommended the value of 196 Ohm for RFod,66 Ohm for Rlim and 20K for Ros. Do you think that i should start with this value or i should do the calibration Fod operation.
3- for the capacitor of RECT and OUT  i take a 16 V capacitor !! for the BOOT ,CLAMP, and COMM I TAKE A 25 V capacitor !!
4- for the capacitor for ISET 2 and OUt i take a 5/6V capacitors !

Thank you very much  for help !!

    Best regards!

  • Thanks for the update

3- for the capacitor of RECT and OUT i take a 16 V capacitor !! for the BOOT ,CLAMP, and COMM I TAKE A 25 V capacitor --Bill J-The voltage rating is OK ****BUT****I have seen caps with bad DC Bias performance. Double check to be on the safe side.
4- for the capacitor for ISET 2 and OUt i take a 5/6V capacitors !----Bill J-ISET only needs a small amount of filtering, OUT will need 1uF to 2uF effective capacitance.
  • Hi

    Bill!

Thank you for your help and your disposition!

I checked the capacitors and it look like that does it right ?

    - I thank you for your help so much.

    Best Regards,
