TL1451A: Could you tell me about TL1451's function?

Part Number: TL1451A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TL1453,

Hi, team.

I have received questions from customers about this product.

Please tell me about contents because I can't be answered by the contents of the data sheet.

<Background on receiving questions>

There is a circuit using TL1453, and trying to expand that circuit to another application.

However, TL1453 from -20℃ does not comply because the application temperature environment from -30℃.

Therefore, if it is TL1451A which is similar function and is pin compatible, since it is -40℃, it is studying whether it can be adapted.

<Question>

The difference between the two devices is recognized as the presence or absence of the latch attached to the protection circuit.

①: By connecting the SCP (16) pin to GND, the short circuit protection circuit is invalidated,

Can other functions be used normally?

※ Refer to Figure 14 in the data sheet

②: Please tell me what kind of function the latch of the DTC is.

(If there is related application note and reference circuit , please also send me)

Because:

There is a description related to the latch of the electrical characteristic "dead-time control" section,the following description doesn't be describe the DTC latch.

(Example: Latch mode current, Latched input Voltage)

③: When the DTC pin exceeds "Latchd input Voltage", the dead time latches at 100%

After that, will switching not resume even if lowering the DTC pin voltage?

Because:

Although the Duty limit is arbitrarily applied by the voltage of the DTC pin,

Consider applying a high voltage to the DTC pin to force Duty to 0%.

④: If the latch condition occurs at "③", how can we restore switching?

※ Power ON reset only?

⑤: Even when the short circuit protection latch is invalidated by the procedure heard in "①"

Is the DTC latched separately?

Best regards,

Masumi Sekiguchi
