Hi support team

LM5025 can support both applications to use P channel and N channel as active clamp switch.

In the datasheet and LM5025EVM, The application using P channel FET as active clamp switch only has been shown.

Do you have any application using N channel?

if LM505 use input voltage is 110V solution and I find high voltage P channel mosfet difficult to find

Hi,

Thank you for your interest in LM5025B. If you want to use an N-channel clamp, you will need to connect a resistor from the TIME pin to the REF pin and use the equation: Dead_Time (ns) = 2.9x RSET+20 to set the dead time. I am not seeing any reference designs with LM5025B using an N channel clamp online but I will check with the rest of the team when I am in the office Monday morning.

Hi,

I was not able to find a specific example of LM5025B with an N channel clamp but sections 4 and 5 of this application note provide an example circuit with N channel high side clamp: www.ti.com/.../slua322.pdf.
