Hi,

The load regulation spec appears to be a typo - it should be mV/A.

So for that it would be Vout(@1A) = Vout (@50mA) - 10 mV/A * (1A-50mA)

Are you sure that formula true?
Maybe Vout(@1A) = Vout (@50mA) + 10 mV/A * (1A-50mA) ?
And what about line regulation formula?

Hi,

Typically load regulation causes Vout to go lower as more current is applied, however it could also go higher. For a higher accuracy 1-A device I would advise using a part like hte TPS7A47, and if you don't need the Vin/Vout range the TPS7A91.

Line regulation will be similiar: Vout(@max Vin) = Vout(@min Vin) +/- line reg (mV/V) * (max Vin - min Vin)

Generic formulas ...

Line Regulation: % change in Vout(nom) for every 1V change in Vin, V/V
= ( ( ΔVout / Vout(nom) ) / ΔVin ) × 100%

Load Regulation: % change in Vout(nom) for every 1A change in Iout, V/A
= ( ( ΔVout / Vout(nom) ) / ΔIout ) × 100%

It can sometimes be in %, other times in V/A or V/V - keep that in mind. The choice usually depends on what dominates the equation for a particular device.
