TLV702-Q1: How much reverser current could TLV70233 tolerate ?

Part Number: TLV702-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LP5912,

Hi Team,

I check that TLV70233 doesn't have reverser protection function as LP5912.

But customer would like to know how much current could the internal body diode could tolerate when there is reverse voltage leading to reverse current ?

Thanks.

  • Roscon,

The general rule of thumb is that reverse current should be limited to about 5% of the rated output current, so about 15mA in this case. However, there is no guarantee that the TLV702-Q1 will survive repeated exposure to reverse current of this magnitude. If you are worried about reverse current in your application you should place a schottky diode from out to in as shown below.

    Best Regards,
