Hi,

I would like to know at what temperature does LM2574HV thermal shutdown? The datasheet indicates the operating temperature can go up to 125 degree Celsius, but no information on thermal shutdown.

My input is 24VDC and the component seems to be overheating and keeps shutting down around 80 degrees Celsius.

I believe it should be around 150-160 degree C

Yes, typically for these types of converters it is around 165 C. Please bear in mind that the thermal shutdown is for junction temperature, not ambient temperature. Depending on your power dissipation, pcb design and air flow, the IC may shut down at a much lower ambient temperature than 165 C.
