Hi,

We got a question from customer about UCC27524A-Q1.
Could you help us?

[Question]
They would like to make sure the OUTx Rating.

- When VDD=12V, how much is the OUTx rating? Is it 12.3V?
- When VDD=Open, how much is the OUTx rating?
- What does the OUTx rating which is VDD+0.3V be related to? We think it is related to body diode of internal FET.

    Hello Tateo,
    Thank you for supporting the UCC27524A-Q1 with your customer. I am an application engineer with TI and will work to answer your questions.
    When VDD=12V, the OUTx abs max rating is 12.3V. The OUTx rating is based on the internal driver FET body diode as you mention.
    The second question is a little more difficult to answer. When VDD=Open does the customer mean there is no VDD capacitance and no voltage applied? (Open circuit).
    Also the state of the input signals is a consideration. When the OUTx is specified as VDD+0.3V the expectation is the output state is high, with high input signals. If VDD is open, the driver cannot respond to high inputs at low voltage levels.

    Hello Tateo,
    The VDS maximum rating of the output driver MOSFET's is 20.3V, as stated in the Absolute Maximum Ratings of VDD 20V (Maximum) +0.3V.
