    Hi,

    Sorry for the delay,

    Please go to www.ti.com/hotswap to access the excel based design tool, app notes, and video tutorials. In general, the TPS247xx series is used in lower current levels (30A) , but in some cases can be used in higher levels if Cout is not high. The tool will help you determine this. Also recommend you obtain a TI TPS24720 EVM to test prior to design in, modifying it per your system needs. Perform Hot Short, Power Into short tests at max system ambient. If an acceptable solution isn't possible using the tool, consider using the TPS24770. It has a dual timer allowing inrush power up into high capacitive loads and a short fault timer.
