TPS54394: About VIN1 and VIN2

Hi,

Customers are considering TPS54394.
I got three questions from customers.
Could you give me your advice?

1.Is it OK to add another voltage to VIN1 and VIN2?
(VIN1=12V,VIN2=8V)
2.Is the internal circuit control voltage (Vreg5) supplied from either VIN1 or VIN2?

From the FUNCTIONAL BLOCK DIAGRAM in DS, youcan use the different voltage for VIN1 and VIN2.

The Vreg5 is supplied by VIN1

Thank you for your response.
Let me ask you one more thing.

When the input voltage is the same,
Should I install one input capacitor and one LC filter?
Or, should I set up in each of VIN1 and VIN2?

Could you give me your advice?

It depends on you to use the LC or not.
For the cap , just one is enough, but you can put some high frequency cap(0.1uF) in both.
