Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS54531,
HI, TI community. I have just a simple query and i hope some of you can answer it.
I ordered TPS54531 to charge lithium cell. this circuit with charge the lithium cell and after that charging will be disabled via Enable pin. Then a discharge circuit will discharge the battery at constant current and a micro controller will measure its battery capacity.
The problem is that when i disable the charging, there is a reverse current from the battery to the circuit ( Dont remember how much) enough to disturb my battery capacity measurement. In TPS54531 Data sheet its written for battery charging but as you can see that if the battery remains in the circuit, it will be discharged eventually when charging is stopped.
Now i have ordered TPS5410, its a 1 Amp chip but still no mentioning of reverse battery current. Any ideas?
Another thing that i have ordered 3 AMP diode just in case if reverse current exist then i will put it at the input of the TPS5410.
